It is my pleasure to welcome you to the start of the academic year! As we emerge from the extraordinary challenge that the pandemic brought to our lives, I am full of promise and hope for the future.
The recent announcement from the Biden-Harris administration on the plan for student debt relief is welcome news to many. As a first-generation college student and parent, I know firsthand how critical it is for higher education to be within your means. I firmly believe in UMass Lowell’s commitment to delivering a high-quality, affordable education that can transform students’ lives for the better.
While we embark on this new academic year, we are also embracing a new chancellor. I am honored to work alongside Dr. Julie Chen to empower our students and community through world-class education and innovation.
The entire Graduate, Online & Professional Studies team is excited to start the academic year. I am sincere when I say we are here to support you on your academic journey. Please do not hesitate to contact the GPS team or me if you need help.
Best wishes for a successful Fall,
Nancy Ludwig, M.B.A., Ed.D.
Dean, Graduate, Online & Professional Studies
