UMass Lowell’s Plastics Engineering Department is an internationally renowned research and education leader. The online Master’s in Plastics Engineering teaches cutting-edge skills and knowledge to advance the careers of industry professionals. This program includes a two-week, on-campus immersive laboratory experience in the summer emphasizing hands-on learning.

Online Master’s in Nursing (MSN)
Offered through the Solomont School, our top-tier online nursing degree is among New England’s most well-respected and affordable programs for nurse practitioners. Students can choose between an Adult Gerontological Primary Care or Family Health track. UMass Lowell’s MSN program graduates achieved a 100% pass rate for the national certification exams. Additionally, graduates continuously report one of the highest returns on investment due to the program’s affordability. Program participants also benefit from clinical placement assistance.

The revised online Bachelor of Information Technology and Associate in IT degrees reflect modern, industry-relevant curricula. The restructured B.S. in IT makes it an ideal choice for transfer students and those who have completed IT programs at community colleges who want to expand their knowledge and career opportunities. This program enables students to incorporate a specialization by completing an undergraduate IT certificate in tandem with their degree program.
Population Health Informatics and Technology (PHIT) Minor
The growing demand for IT professionals with a background in public health inspired the creation of the PHIT minor. Health Information Technology (PUBH.2030) and Introduction to Public Health Informatics (PUBH.2031) are now IT electives to facilitate this minor option without prolonging students’ degree completion timelines.
